Your home on the water

As captain of your own canal boat, you’ll be living in, and driving, your personal cruiser.

Think about your river cruiser as your home on the water, fully equipped with all the amenities of home, including a large and well decorated interior.

Included in your boat rental –

  • Full use of a boat for the duration specified.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, gas oven, hob, dishes and utensils.
  • Bathroom facilities with hot showers and toilets.
  • Towels and tea towels (not beach towels)
  • Pillows, duvets and bed linen
  • Cruising maps, user manual and tourist information.
  • Safety equipment: life ring, life jackets, boat hook and fenders, basic first aid kit
  • Deck equipment – moorings pegs, mallet, mop, bucket and ropes
  • Full briefing by base staff and a practice run before departure.
  • Passage through locks (except in Ireland and the Netherlands where a small fee is payable locally for each lock)
  • Compulsory mooring fees for Canada, Scotland and Italy
  • One way supplement for routes starting and ending at different bases.
